BROWN BRIGADE Putting Finishing Touches On 'Good, Raw Metal Album'

February 14, 2007

Former SUM 41 and current BROWN BRIGADE guitarist Dave "Brownsound" Baksh has posted the following message on the BROWN BRIGADE MySpace page:

"I'm sitting here writing as Vaughn [Lal, Dave's cousin] finishes bass on 'Last Rites'. Our album nears completion. Can't wait for the finished product. A good, raw metal album.

"We decided to keep the ProTools editing down on this one. It was important to make things sound natural and close to NWOBHM. But, of course, our entire perception of the world can be humorous so when and if you do get a copy pay attention to the lyrics.

"It still blows me away that we have gotten the opportunity to make this record.

"I've no idea when we'll release yet but I do know that Toby Wright is mixing. Something I'm very excited about. He mixed 'Deliverance' by CORROSION OF CONFORMITY.

"I should be down in L.A. in March mixing it."

BROWN BRIGADE last fall inked a deal with Aquarius Records. The group's recent touring lineup included Craig "The Craigulator" Pattison (guitar),Johnny "No-Triggers" Owens (drums),Ienni-Mon (back-up percussion) and Cess Rock (vocals). The band completed a Canadian tour in October with PENNYWISE and CIRCLE JERKS.
